PRIVACY

Your collection is personal.

This summary explains the information ArachniDex uses to provide accounts, syncing and the website.

Last updated: 27 September 2026.

Read the full ArachniDex privacy policy for detailed app disclosures. The updates below also cover the website, community and enclosure QR labels.

Information you provide

This may include your account email, keeper name, profile image and the collection, wishlist, notes, logs and images you choose to save.

How information is used

Account and collection data is used to authenticate you, sync supported devices, provide tracker features, maintain security and respond to support requests.

The Moulting Grounds

Community profiles are optional. If you enable yours, the keeper name, avatar, biography, broad region, featured award, business role and social links you choose are public. Animals remain private unless you individually mark them as a public showcase, available or reserved. A public animal copy can include its name, species, type, sex, life stage, image, current size or instar, locality and morph. Likes and comments you choose to leave on public showcase animals are public and identify you by your keeper or account display name. Feeding, moulting and care records, reminders, notes, values, acquisition details, email address and private collection records are not published. Disabling the profile removes its public copies.

Optional Community emails

You can opt in to emails about replies in discussions you follow and new topics in rooms you follow. ArachniDex sends these through Resend using your account email address. Both subscriptions are off by default and can be disabled from Community settings or the unsubscribe link in every email.

Enclosure QR labels

An enclosure QR code contains only a web link with the animal’s ArachniDex record identifier. It does not contain the animal’s notes, care history, account email or other private collection data. Opening the link requires the signed-in account that owns the matching animal record. Printed labels can optionally show the animal name, species, recommended conditions and record identifier.

Service providers and site measurement

ArachniDex uses service providers including Firebase for authentication, data storage and app services, and Resend for emails that users explicitly request. The public website may use Google Analytics and Google advertising services, which can use cookies or similar technologies subject to your choices and their policies.

Control and deletion

You can export collection data from the settings area and request or perform account deletion through the available account controls. For privacy questions, contact support@arachnidex.com.
