Gandanameno species (African velvet spiders) are low-maintenance, arid-dwelling arachnids. They require a warm, bone-dry enclosure with great ventilation, temperatures of 22–26°C (72–79°F), and no water dish or misting, as they source all necessary hydration directly from their prey
