Porcellio sp. "Málaga Monster" is a heavyweight champion of the isopod world. This stunning "giant" locality from Southern Spain is famous for its massive, robust body and its incredibly bold personality. While related to other Spanish giants, the "Málaga Monster" is prized for its sheer bulk and its deep, dark slate-grey coloration, often accented by clean white margins. This is not a shy species. The "Málaga Monster" is a high-energy, visible inhabitant that spends much of its time exploring the enclosure or congregating on cork bark. Due to their impressive size---reaching lengths that rival small shrimp---they are a favorite for large display terrariums. They are efficient cleaners, but their primary appeal is their prehistoric, "armored tank" appearance. Perfect for large Mediterranean bioactive setups , advanced collectors, and anyone looking for the most "monstrous" and active isopod available. Activity level: Extremely High / Bold.
